Tourism Visa

1. Your valid & actual passport which must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity with at least one blank visa page in it.

2. One completed Visa Application Form (Q1) with one passport photo (black & white or color is acceptable) glued or stapled on it.

3. An applicant who was born in China is required to submit his /her Chinese passport or last foreign passport with a Chinese visa when he or she applies for a Chinese visa with a new foreign passport.


Business Visa

1.Your valid & actual passport which must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity with at least one blank visa page in it.

3.An invitation letter from the host company or unit in China, or a letter from your company.

4.An applicant who was born in China is required to submit his/her Chinese passport or last foreign passport with a Chinese visa when he or she applies for a Chinese visa with a new foreign passport.

You may apply for a Single Entry (valid for 3-6 months) , Double Entry (valid for 6 months) , Multiple Entry (valid for 6 months or 12 months) "F" Visa as needed.
You may apply for a Multiple Entry "F" Visa valid for 24 months, if
(1) you submit documents which certify you have made an investment in China, or have established a collaboration with a Chinese company, e.g. business license, contracts, a letter of appointment, etc.; or

(2) you have visited China at least twice with the "F" visa within the past 12 months , or have been issued a multi-entry "F" visa, and shall submit a copy of the visa(s);

Korea Visa

1.General Visa Information

A) As of April 1, 1998, there is a $45 visa-processing fee for U.S. Citizens except for type-A visa applicants. Citizens of Japan, Thailand, the Republic of China, the Philippines (for stay in Korea under 59 days), the United Kingdom (for stay in Korea under 6 months), Sweden, Spain, and Italy do not need to pay a visa-processing fee.
Citizens of all other countries must pay a $30 visa-processing fee for a single entry visa.

B) If you plan to stay in Korea for more than 90 days, you must obtain a proper long-term visa.

C) A U.S. citizen does not require a visa for a stay up to 30 days for tour, provided that he/she has proof of transportation out of the country and sufficient funds for the stay.

E) Normally it takes 24 hours for visa processing.

F) If you are requesting a visa by mail, be sure to enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope marked with the proper postage to receive your visa(s). For the secure arrival of your visa(s), express mailing services, such as the U.S. Postal Service Express Mail, Federal Express, UPS, DHL, or Air Borne, are recommended.

G) In regards to work visas, you are required to obtain a certificate number of Certificate for Confirmation of Visa Issuance, except for type C-4 visas.

- If there is a subsidiary company established in Korea, the president of the company- as long as he/she has the necessary documents-can apply for your work permit at the Immigration Office and obtain the certificate number of the Certificate for Confirmation of Visa Issuance.

H) For nationalities other than the U.S., individuals must submit a copy of their U.S. permanent resident card or valid U.S.A. visa.

2. Required Documents for Visa Application

Regardless of your visa status, these items must be submitted to obtain a visa:

A) A valid passport

B) A completed visa application (ms-word) (pdf)

C) A recent photo(2"x2" color)

D) Fee ($45 for American Citizens, $30 for other nationals. For more information, please refer to the above section entitled "General Visa Information.")

India Visa


Requirements for Visa Application
Application form for visa duly filled in. Special forms have to be filled by citizens of Pakistan (4 copies with 5 photos) and Bangladesh (2 copies with 3 photos).
Passports in original valid for a minimum of six months beyond date of intended departure from India should accompany visa applications.
One photo pasted firmly on the form.

Normally, U.S. passports are processed the same day. Applicants holding other than United States passports should submit proof of long term-stay (at least three years)/ permanent residence (copy of green card) in the United States to expedite issuance of visa. Such applicants as well as US passport holders ordinarily receive visas the same day in the evening if the application has been received earlier in the day (before 1215 hrs) and if the application does not fall in the category where clearances are required from authorities in India or elsewhere.

For Applicants, who do not normally stay in the U.S., references have to be made to their country of residence for which an additional $20 fee over and above normal visa fee is applicable. These applications take five to seven working days processing time after receipt in the Consulate. Please refrain from making inquiries about the status of such applications during this time.

Chinese, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan nationals who are not permanent residents of U.S.A. have to apply for visa in the country of their residence. Application from Pakistani/Pakistani origin passport holders may take about 3 months to process. Applications of Chinese nationals may take one-three months time to process depending on the purpose of the visit. Bangladesh and Sri Lankan passports (including persons of Sri Lankan origin) will take 7 working days to process. A reference fee of $20.00 is to be paid by all categories/nationalities in this para also.

Visas are issued valid from the date of issue, for period applied for by the applicant. It is the responsibility of the applicant to apply in time and for validity as per their requirement. Visas once issued cannot be changed into another type of visa. Parents can sign for minor children.



TYPES OF VISAS AVAILABLE


TOURIST VISA: Tourist visas valid for six-month and one year (six months stay each time) are available. Ten-year Tourist visas permitting a stay of maximum of six-month on each visit are available to U.S. citizens who are frequent visitors to India. A person desirous of visiting India frequently but not intending to stay for more than six months at a time is advised to apply for this type of visa. Please note that it is not possible to extend your stay in India beyond 6 months if you are visiting India on this visa. For non-US nationals, who are permanent residents of US 5 year tourist visa with six months stay each visit is available.

ENTRY VISA: Valid for six months to one-year stay with multiple entries for legitimate purposes only. Five-year long-term stay visas are available only for US citizens of Indian origin. The five-year entry visa allows the holder to stay in India for up to 5 years after they have registered themselves with the authorities in India. This visa is advisable for people who intend to live in India on a long-term basis and for more than six months at a time. There is no Ten-year entry visa.

BUSINESS VISA: Valid for six months and one year with multiple entries. A letter from Sponsoring Organization indicating the nature of applicant's business, probable duration of stay, places and organizations to be visited incorporating therein a guarantee to meet maintenance expenses, etc. may accompany the application. Ten-year Business visas are available to U.S passport holders. A business letter from India or US may accompany the application.

STUDENT VISA: Depending upon the duration of the course, multiple entry student visas for bonafide students to pursue regular studies at recognized institution in India are available. Visa is valid for up to five years or the duration of the course whichever is less. A letter confirming admission from such an institution along with evidence of financial arrangements for stay in India should accompany the application. In case of admission in medical or para-medical courses in India, a letter of approval or No Objection Certificate from Ministry of Health, Government of India, New Delhi, is mandatory. Likewise for admission in graduate or post-graduate courses in Engineering or Technical Institutions in India, a letter of approval or a No Objection from Ministry of Human Resources Development (Dept. of Education), Government of India, New Delhi, should be submitted. For research purposes detailed synopsis of the research project, countersigned by the sponsoring institution in India should be submitted. Processing of applications for research may take about three months.

TRANSIT VISA: Valid for single/double entry for short stop over for travelling to a third country is available. Confirmed onward tickets must accompany the applications.

MISSIONARIES: Valid for single entry and duration as permitted by the Government of India. A letter in triplicate, from sponsoring organization indicating intended destination in India, probable length of stay, and nature of duties to be discharged should be submitted along with guarantee for applicant's maintenance while in India. Processing of applications for missionaries may take up to three months.

JOURNALIST VISA: Journalist visas are given to professional journalists and photographers for three months stay in India.

EMPLOYMENT VISA: Employment visas are initially issued for one-year stay. A copy of the contract with the employer has to be enclosed. Kindly note that Employment Visa is given only for jobs that require very high level of skills and expertise. This can be extended by Foreigners Regional Registration Office in India, if the job contract continues. Spouses and children are granted co-terminus entry visas on request.

CONFERENCE VISA: Letter of invitation from the organizer of the conference and approvals of Indian authorities are to be submitted along with the visa application.

TRANSFER OF VISAS: To transfer visas from an expired passport to the new passport, application form duly filled in along with one photo and the required fees. It is possible to travel with expired old passport with valid Indian visa and valid new passport issued subsequent to issue of Indian visa.

Besides the above-mentioned categories, visas are also available for learning Yoga, Music and Dance in India from the institutions approved by the Government of India.

For visit to Restricted or Protected Areas, a request in the form of a letter should accompany the application.





Vietnam Visa

1. A VISA to Vietnam can be applied for by mail or in person at the Embassy of Vietnam as early as six months prior to the date of travel. The applicant must submit:
• Original PASSPORT.
• One completed and signed visa application form (PDF Form) with 01 passport-size photo glued or stapled.
VISA fee in the form of MONEY ORDER, or CASHIER’S CHECK, or CERTIFIED CHECK payable to “THE EMBASSY OF VIETNAM.” Applicants applying together may submit the fee in one money order.
A prepaid return envelope, if the applicant requests the visa be returned by mail. Please use US Express Mail (UPS and DHL are not accepted for the return envelope).  Applicants applying together may provide one envelope for visas to be returned to the same address. 

2. Diplomatic and Official Visas:
• Diplomatic and official visas will be granted GRATIS unless otherwise agreed upon between Vietnam and the applicant’s country.
• In addition to the documents specified in (1), the applicant must submit a note verbal or an official letter from the relevant agencies of the US Government, Embassies or Consulates accredited to the United States, and international organizations.

3. Business Visas:
• In addition to the documents specified in (1), the applicant must provide a visa pre-approval(1) obtained through his/her sponsor(2) in Vietnam. The Embassy will issue visas only upon approval issued by the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security in Vietnam.
• If the applicant does not have a host/sponsor in Vietnam, s/he may contact the Embassy for assistance.

4. Processing Time:

• 5 - 7 business days are required to process visa applications.
• Expedited processing requires 2 - 3 business days after the Embassy has received the application (additional fee required).
• Please keep the tracking numbers of the envelopes to and from the Embassy. When the above deadlines have passed, use the tracking number to check with the mailing service first. Please do not make telephone inquires on the status of your application (make sure that you keep your passport number for this request) until after the 3rd business day for an expedited case and the 7th working day for a regular case.
• The Embassy will be closed on Vietnamese and US holidays 2007. Please take account of the observed holidays in planning for your visa application and travel.

1. An approval is a visa clearance obtained for an applicant by his/her partner, host, representative, relative, friend or a travel agency in Vietnam ahead of time at the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security (258 Nguyen Trai Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City or 40a Hang Bai, Hanoi). The Embassy of Vietnam issues the visa to the applicant based on that approval.
